Meet the Founder of Mary Homes Team
Mary McNeill, Esq.
Mary is not your typical realtor. She adds value in a way others cannot because of her legal expertise and renovation savvy—including drafting contracts and carefully curating vendors.
With degrees from UCLA and Hastings Law School, the East Bay native spent fifteen years as a practicing real estate attorney before parlaying her contractual expertise into a thriving transactional real estate career. Describing Mary as a “go-getter” would be an understatement.
After representing corporate giants like Google, Samsung, and Chase, Mary is no stranger to handling client demands. Given her smarts, market savvy, and negotiation tactics, it is no wonder Mary has a track record for appraising above contract price when representing buyers and generating multiple offers above asking price for sellers.
Renowned for working tirelessly around the clock, Mary has been obsessed with real estate since day one. Little known fact: Mary bought her first home in San Francisco solo at the ripe age of 26. Many thought she was crazy, but Mary proved them wrong when she walked away from the purchase with over 100% in equity earnings just 6 years later. It is this same gutsy attitude that landed Mary Rookie of the Year at Keller Williams, netting the highest grossing commission income of any new agent and closing over $12 million in her first year alone. So how does she do it? With a calculated blend of drive and tenacity, and by working seven days a week around the clock for her clients.
Numbers aside, this East Bay local truly loves the process of helping people create home. To Mary, home is more than an address. It is a safe haven where neighbors converge for backyard barbecues, relatives gather around the table for holiday dinners and new babies are brought across the threshold. In her (extraordinarily rare) downtime, Mary loves hiking Briones or Castle Rock, volunteering at her kids’ schools, eating out, and spending time with her husband and four kids—3 boys and a girl. Instilled with a deep appreciation for her childhood hometown, Mary regularly volunteers at the Bay Area Crisis Nursery, the Food Bank, and her local public schools.

Mary was absolutely amazing. We had a hard time not just finding a home that was right for us but also the area. Every couple of months we changed what city we were searching in. Mary was very knowledgeable in all the different areas. And was very patient the whole way through. When it came down to start putting in offers, Mary knew exactly how to make our offer shine above the several others we were in competition with. Her local relationships, tenacity, and unique people skills got us the house we wanted when we were competing with 10+ other well qualified buyers. Another thing that made Mary especially valuable and helpful to us is her long experience as a real estate attorney. She clearly knows her stuff when it comes to real estate contracts, and when we had a legal question/issue that came up during our purchase, Mary gave us super sound legal advice we would have otherwise had to engage an attorney to figure out. That alone saved us thousands of dollars. Overall cannot recommend Mary highly enough. We would have been completely lost without Mary.
